I recently watched Alex Ross Perry’s Queen of Earth for the first time and was struck by how it captured a mental breakdown in a startling and unique way. Upon further viewing, however, I was stunned to discover multiple parallels with a film that would come out two years later — Trey Edward Shults’ Krisha.
